Inspiration & education
Right back from my childhood I’ve always had a strong passion for art, film and photography. I love watching films for entertainment, but I’ve always been equally fascinated by the behind-the-scenes processes as I am in what is happening on-screen.

This fascination was further explored by studying art and film at college – exploring the connections and inspirations between the mediums and learning about the technical aspects of photography and filmmaking.
A career within marketing and the media
Following on from college I set out on a 20 plus year career in marketing within the TV & film industry. Working for one of the biggest product placement agencies, I worked on a wide range of productions from blockbuster movies to the nation's much loved soap operas, representing blue chip clients across a variety of sectors.

During this time I learned the importance of context and how visuals are there to compliment and support the story and dialogue.
Progression into photography and the events industry
​Transitioning into a freelance role in the event industry allowed me to really explore photography extensively, and expand my network across various sectors collaborating with amazing people at the best venues in the UK and further afield.

Although I do not have a single preferred genre within photography, I enjoy working across all fields, what I value most in my profession is the opportunity to interact with clients to collaborate and deliver photography that aligns with their requirements and meets the brief.
